Recently, sections of the ceiling in the Library Theater loosened and fell. Thankfully, no injuries occurred, but the incident is a clear reminder that our library building is aging and in need of significant care.

We’re thrilled to unveil our new outdoor electrical sign, making it easier than ever to find your way to the library — day or night. This energy-efficient, beautifully designed sign is here to guide you to books, resources, and community programs all year round.
On behalf of the entire Chappaqua Library, we extend our heartfelt thanks to you for your continued support and for voting in favor of our annual budget. The budget vote passed 1381 yes to 267 no. Pam Moskowitz was elected to a second 3-year term starting July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028.
You may have noticed that our garden beds have moved and that our raised patio and ramp has a chain link barrier on it. We have closed both due to safety concerns.
The Friends Annual Book Sale is coming!
You may have noticed a new collection of books and bookmarks in our lobby. Vicki Fuqua, one of our fantastic adult librarians, has curated this offering. The materials located there are items that do not require checkout; any item in this collection can be taken, returned, or kept.
The 2025 Legislative Session is in full swing and New York's library community needs your help to secure key budgetary and legislative wins in the coming months.
