This is a continuation of our popular Visible Mending series in 2025.

Attendees must attend the first session on 2/12 to participate unless they attended Visible Mending: Intro to Crochet in the fall or can crochet a chain without assistance.

In this two-month project Debra will teach us how to crochet, learning how to make a small dishcloth and crocheting a decorative edge around a tea towl. 

Class outline:

  • 2/12: Intro to single crochet | Create a small dishcloth
  • 2/26: Intro to double crochet | Create a scallop edge around the dishcloth
  • 3/12: Starting the dishtowel | Using a rotary cutter, create a chain around the towel, crocheting on the corners
  • 3/26: Finishing the dishtowel: Create a scallop edge on the towel
