The Friends of the Chappaqua Library's Annual Book Sale wrapped up this past weekend and over $27,000 was raised!
Thank you to all of the members of the Friends who organize and administer the sale. If you visited the sale this year or in the past, you will see the amount of work that goes into this event. There are "miles of books" that are collected, organized, and sold in just a few days. It is a whirlwind event!
Thank you as well to those of you who are not part of the Friends, but volunteered your time. Arranging books does not sound like a lot of work, but volunteers are in non-stop motion, organizing, neatening, and replenishing inventory when it is runs low.
And finally, thank you to those who donated your books to this sale. Without those contributions, this book sale would not happen.
At a time when the world is so fraught, this event is a reminder of the kindness, generosity, and good will of this community. All of us at the Chappaqua Library are grateful!
