As we approach the end of 2025, I find myself reflecting on the many gifts the Chappaqua Library and this community have given me.
First and foremost, I am grateful every day to work alongside colleagues whose professionalism, compassion, and genuine kindness touch everything they do. Their dedication to this community is evident in every warm interaction with a patron, every thoughtful program they create, and every resource they work so hard to make available. No one in the Director’s Chair succeeds alone; anything we accomplish is because of their steadfast support, generosity of spirit, and tireless effort. I am deeply, sincerely thankful for each and every one of them.
I am deeply indebted to our Library Board—Pam Moskowitz, Jennifer Fahey, George Benack, John Harrison, and Brian Cook—for giving me the foundation and support I need to lead this library. Their confidence in me and steadfast commitment to Chappaqua Library have enabled us to grow and thrive.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Friends of the Chappaqua Library. Their tireless fundraising and advocacy make so many of our programs, initiatives, and enhancements possible. The generosity, enthusiasm, and hard work of the Friends group enrich the experience of every patron who walks through our doors, and we are profoundly grateful for their partnership.
To our community members: your kindness and generosity embody what makes this town so special. Every day, the people I meet remind me what true community looks like, and I am grateful for the countless examples of how neighbors care for one another.
My warmest wishes to each of you for a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday season.
With Gratitude,
Jennifer
