Artists Statement
There is beauty found everywhere. Just open your eyes and you will find it in the most usual and unusual places. As a watercolor artist, I try to put on paper what my eyes see, and want to see… and what I want the viewer to see.
Artist Biography
Born into a family of artists and musicians, I, luckily, inherited their art genes and have been creative in so many ways since a childhood. Although I never went to art school, I was sure to major in art in high school and college. Like Grandma Moses in her elder years, I, too, decided to take painting seriously. After taking workshops and classes at Putnam Arts Council, Hudson River Community Education, Ridgefield Guild of Artists, and Railyard Arts, I could not put the paint brush down. It has become my turn-to for meditation and soul food. My subjects are varied – from still life, flowers, nature, portraits, animals, landscapes, seascapes, and intuition. I keep my eyes open always looking for something that inspires me. Cape Cod and Italy are especially inspiring and/or by just looking out the window!
