An introduction to beginners and those who are myco-curious to the world of amateur mycology, an engaging hobby that is fun for all ages.
Did you know what wild mushrooms come in a rainbow of colors with a variety of smells? Learn about mushroom myths and characteristics. Lisa will tell you what to bring to the woods and tips for collecting in addition to new frontiers in mycology and how to get involved locally.
No wild mushrooms will be served/consumed during the program, though some wild mushrooms may be displayed depending on availability. It is safe to touch all wild mushrooms, even ones that are toxic to eat.
