Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a special author event with the Former Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin and Huma Abedin.

Author

Sanna Marin, the world’s youngest prime minister when she took office, shares her inspiring path to leadership and offers a bold vision for how to effect change in both our local communities and on a global stage.

During Marin’s term, she led Finland through the COVID-19 pandemic, and her government implemented many progressive reforms addressing climate change, social justice, and equality. She helped the country navigate neighboring Russia’s devastating full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and Finland’s rapid joining of NATO—the swiftest entry for any country in the alliance’s history. In “Hope in Action”, Sanna Marin takes readers on the extraordinary journey of her trailblazing career

Special Guest

Huma Abedin is an American political staffer who was the vice chair of Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign for President of the United States. Before that, Abedin was deputy chief of staff to Clinton when she was United States Secretary of State in 2009-2013.
