Your participation and voice matter!
The Chappaqua Library is launching a comprehensive long-range strategic Master Plan and seeks public input to help shape the future of our infrastructure, architectural spaces, and community services.
This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to contribute your daily experience and professional insight to a Master Plan that matches our community’s standard of excellence. Join us to help reimagine and rebuild a nexus for generations.
Library Director Jennifer Daddio and the H2M planning team will host a public listening session in the Library Theater. Refreshments will be served.
Why now?
After years of temporary fixes to our roof, HVAC, and study spaces, we are moving beyond small patches to design a library that truly supports your needs—because our mission centers on building community. It isn't just a "library dream project"—it’s the tangible step toward a resilient and sustainable future for the community.
What to expect?
- Learn the What and Why: Be introduced to the process for this community-driven Master Plan.
- Engage in Dialogue: Listen and ask questions with the planning team and neighbors.
- Share Your Vision: Provide input on interior and exterior spaces, programming, and emerging opportunities.
- Identify Priorities: Help establish shared goals through collaborative, interactive activities.
Who should attend?
Library users of all ages, residents and community members, civic leaders, educators, local businesses and partners—and anyone interested in the future of the Chappaqua Library.
What happens next?
- More engagement opportunities in the upcoming months with focus groups, listening sessions, and public survey.
- Your input will be finalized into a Master Plan (including design and budget) that guides our collective vision.
