The Librarians chronicles Texas lawmakers’ efforts to review and restrict library materials, placing librarians on the frontlines of a national debate. Across the country, librarians and communities are grappling with challenges to collection standards, particularly around race-related and LGBTQIA+ content. Our screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Emily Drabinski, Past President of the American Library Association, along with librarians from Westchester libraries who have faced challenges to materials in their collections.
This event is a collaboration between the Chappaqua Library and the Town of New Castle.
