Join us for an Indie Lens Pop-Up documentary screening of "The Librarians," a PBS Independent Lens film. As part of the Library's commitment to community dialogue and learning we invite you to engage in this important conversation about reading freely. 

The Librarians chronicles Texas lawmakers’ efforts to review and restrict library materials, placing librarians on the frontlines of a national debate. Across the country, librarians and communities are grappling with challenges to collection standards, particularly around race-related and LGBTQIA+ content. Drawing on historical context, The Librarians invites viewers to consider the broader implications for education, access to information, and public life.
