Event Details
American quilts have decorated our beds and kept us warm for two centuries. Peggy Norris explores the great variety of quilts from 1800 to 1976, with a special look at quilts owned by the New Castle Historical Society including the newly restored Patriotic Quilt. Quilts tell stories about women, their families, and their communities. Learn about what makes a quilt and the long history of quilting in America.
Peggy is a quilter, quilt historian, genealogist, and local historian. She is a member of several historical societies in Bergen County, NJ, and is a member of the American Quilt Study Group.
Cosponsored by the New Castle Historical Society.
