Topic

Iran and the Middle East – Will today’s War bring Regime Change in Tehran or Protracted Conflict in the Region?

Decisive attacks on Iran by the U.S. and Israel and the killing of Ayatollah Khamenei have opened up a wide range of possible outcomes which may be clarified in coming weeks. Has Iran’s military - especially its ballistic missile capability - been weakened enough to lead a new regime to drop its nuclear ambitions? What might this war mean for the stability of the Middle East?

Speaker

We could not have more distinguished and knowledgeable speaker on the Middle East than Dr. Kenneth Pollack. He is Vice President for Policy at the Middle East Institute and has held senior positions at the American Enterprise Institute, Brookings Institution, National Security Council, CIA, and the Institute for National Security at the National Defense University. He is the author of 10 books on the Middle East and has published articles in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. He holds a bachelor’s from Yale University and a doctorate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
