In the Medium of Life: The Drawing of Beauford Delaney | May 30–September 14, 2025. (Drawing Center)

Beauford Delaney holds a place in the history of American art of the postwar period that is challenging to define. This exhibition features over 90 works spanning his career. His work ranged from realism and cubism to abstraction in nonlinear fashion. Working back and forth in his mature style between representation and abstraction.
