Special Events at the Chappaqua Library:

E-READER HELP DESK WEEKENDS IN JANUARY
We know a lot of you got e-readers for the holidays, and we're here to help you learn how to access FREE library materials with your new iPads, Kindles, or whatever else you may have. During the month of January, we will be offering one-on-one help at our E-Reader Help Desk on Saturdays from 9-5, and on Sundays from 1-5. Learn how to use OverDrive to download ebooks and audiobooks onto your devices—it's easy!
COMING TO THE LIBRARY SOON…GROUP COMPUTER LESSONS
We've been offering one-on-one computer help for quite a while now, and people really seem to appreciate working with our incredibly knowledgeable and "user-friendly" computer pages. In fact, we've expanded this program and now have computer pages here seven days a week. We've been thinking, though, that we might start offering some general introductory classes for small groups on particular computer topics. Please take our survey and let us know what you think!

BOTTLE CAP COLLECTION AT THE LIBRARY
The Horace Greeley High Schools environmental club, S.T.O.P. (Students and Teachers for Our Planet), has joined with the rest of the Chappaqua Central School District in collecting plastic bottle caps for recycling. The program was started in 2008 by Aveda, the eco-conscious beauty products company. Realizing that the rigid plastic caps commonly found on soda and water bottles, toothpaste tubes, and the like cannot be recycled in normal recycling plants, they started their own Cap Collection Program, which recycles the caps into new plastic bottles.
Bring your plastic caps to the library and deposit them in the box in the lobby provided by S.T.O.P. Together, we can help make our planet a healthier place!
