THE CHAPPAQUA LIBRARY BOARD NEEDS YOU!

The Chappaqua Library is searching for a candidate to fill one opening on the Chappaqua Library Board of Trustees by an election to be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010.

Applicants must be at least 18-years-old and residents of the Chappaqua School District for at least one year. A Library Trustee is an advocate for the library and its services. Those running for the Board position should be library users.

The term of service is five (5) years, during which time the member serves successively in each of five positions, starting as Member-at-Large and moving to President. The library board meets once a month and is responsible for setting library policy and for the fiscal oversight of the library.

A nominating petition must be signed by at least 25 qualified voters of the School District and must be filed in the office of the District Clerk not later than April 19, 2010, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
