NEED A GOOD READ? By far one of our most-asked questions here at the library is “what should I read next?” Look for our dedicated staff recommendation shelf near the new nonfiction with a variety of offerings—novels, mysteries, memoirs, history—all tried and true good reads. SPRING IS HERE - VISIT A GARDEN
Look for the 2008 Open Days Directory in both our reference and circulating collections. This directory lists private gardens all over the United States (including 22 in Westchester) which can be viewed by the general public on specific dates from now until November. Look for some local gardens here, including Rocky Hills, Henriette Suhr’s “exquisite, painterly” garden on Old Roaring Brook Road. Also included in this directory are lists of public gardens by state. |

CLEAN OUT YOUR ATTICS! The Friends of the Library’s annual book sale is coming up in June. We will be accepting book donations ONLY on Monday, June 2 and Tuesday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the theater. Volunteers are needed to sort, categorize, and sell books. Sign up at the reference desk to help out. |
