The Learning Center

The Chappaqua Library has a collection of information called "The Learning Center." This section includes all the books on how we learn as well as special education topics such as: learning differences, attention deficit, developmental delays, sensory impairments, gifted and talented and pervasive developmental disabilities. All the books in this area have pink labels that say "THE LEARNING CENTER" on them, and those that pertain to special education as well have an additional "SPECIAL EDUCATION" label. In addition to books, this center has periodicals and a video/DVD collection. This center was developed for students, parents, teachers, tutors and professionals for accessing and understanding all information on how we learn and what affects learning.

Special Education

The Chappaqua Library has developed an extensive special education collection. Books can be accessed by topical bibliographies available in our special education area. The reference librarians can help you access any information you need, so don’t hesitate to ask them for assistance. For more information, contact Deb Donaldson, the library’s special education person, at 238-4779.
