Match wits with Manhattan Bridge Club owner Jeff Bayone and Stan Kurzban in instructive sessions. Whether you have been playing for a few years or too many to count, you’re sure to enjoy matching wits with Chappaqua’s experts. Not for beginners. Singles, pairs and small groups welcome.

All lessons are individual and free. Friday and Saturday lessons last 1/2 hour unless there are no other lessons scheduled afterwards then they can last longer. The computer instructors will help at any level with any computer related topics such as Word, email, Internet, etc. Please call the Reference Desk at 238-4779 to schedule a lesson or take a chance and drop in.

Participants will assume the role of prospective directors in the explication of the text, HAMLET, paying close attention to the details. Following a viewing of Zeffirelli's film, HAMLET, the workshop will evaluate the differences observed between Shakespeare's HAMLET and Zeffirelli's HAMLET.
Please use your own copy of HAMLET and read carefully. The text should be thoroughly glossed with line indications for every scene. Please come to each session having read the assignment for that evening.
The workshops are scheduled from 7pm - 9pm on the following Thursdays:

The workshops (five sessions) will be conducted by Howard Livingston, Ph.D. (NYU). Dr. Livingston, a Pace University literature, film and semantics professor, has been published in such journals as HAMLET STUDIES, THE ENGLISH RECORD, and NORTH AMERICAN REVIEW.
